BROCKPORT, N.Y. – With a strong win by the women's team over the former Empire 8 champions on Wednesday, The College at Brockport swimming and diving teams are eager to take on conference opponent Buffalo State this weekend.

Nazareth Split: The Golden Eagles welcomed the Golden Flyers to the James B. Fulton Natatorium this past Wednesday for a non-conference dual before closing out their regular season with back to back SUNYAC matchups. Both team's picked up a loss against the Golden Flyers in the 2018-19 season.
The men's team fell short against the Golden Flyers, picking up a 127-109 loss, led by
Matthew Dambra,
Mark Eaton,
Logan Gregory and more. The women's team on the other hand found strength in numbers, sneaking past the Golden Flyers in the final relay event for a 119-117 win over the former Empire 8 Champions.
The women's team was led by the following performances:
Nicole Orcutt – First-place in the 500-freestyle (5:26.18), Second-place in the 200-IM (2:19.14)
Kaitlin Dunning – First-place in the 50-freestyle (25.80), First-place in the 100-freestyle (56.36)
Bri Owen – First-place in the 100-butterfly (1:03.16)
Haley Brucato – Third-place in the 100-butterfly (1:05.95)
Lexi Foster – First in the 1-meter dive. (262.95), Second-place in the 3-meter five (214.40)
Allison Morrow – Second-place in the 100-breaststroke (1:14.30)
Sarah Mullane – Second-place in the 100-backstroke (1:06.68)
Dee Logory – Third-place in the 100-backstroke (1:06.94)
Sawyer Parker – Fourth-place in the 100-backstroke (1:07.02)
In the final event of the meet, 200-relay, the women's team of
Hailey Rossi, Parker, Dunning, and
Nicole Orcutt won the event by just .64 seconds to give the Green and Gold the lead by two points. The women's team have now won back-to-back dual meets and are 2-0 at home this season in its own pool.
Despite picking up a loss, the men's team was led by the following performances:
Mark Eaton – First-place in the 1-meter and 3-meter dives (274.40 & 302.05)
Matthew Dambra – First-place in the 200-IM (2:06.63), Second-place in the 100-backstroke (56.10)
Oliver Dragojevic – First-place in the 100-breaststroke (1:02.64)
William Tolpa – First-place in the 100-freestle (51.49)
Logan Gregory – First-place in the 100-backstroke (55.85), Second-place in the 200-freestyle (1:55.36)
Tyler Hyde – Second-place in the 100-butterfly (1:00.44)
Peter Schmeer – Third-place in the 100-butterfly (1:00.85)
The lineup of Tolpa, Dragojevic, Gregory, and Dambra clocked in at 1:32.03 for second-place in the 200-freestyle relay. Tolpa then joined
Jerome Gordon, Hyde, and
Rainer Grimme for a second-place finish in the 400-medley relay.
Senior Day Sweep: The Golden Eagles hosted the Bengals in the 2018-19 season for their final home meet of the season where they also honored their senior class. Both the men's and women's teams picked up a win against the orange and black, the men's team with a 157-130 finish and the women's team a whopping 175-100 finish.
Up Next: After the Bengals, the Golden Eagles only have one more regular season meet before heading to Buffalo for the SUNYAC Championships. The Green and Gold will be back in action on the 1st of February for their senior day dual meet with Fredonia starting at 1 p.m.
