BROCKPORT, NY – The SUNY Brockport men's and women's swim and dive teams swept visiting SUNY Fredonia in team competition on Saturday afternoon at the James B. Fulton Natatorium. During the first break of the meet the Golden Eagles honored their graduating senior class as a part of the senior day festivities.
The women's team topped the Blue Devils by the score of 147-69, while Brockport's men's team defeated the visitor's 157-74.
Brockport's women's 200 yard medley relay team of
Sarah Mullane,
Hailey Rossi,
Bri Owen and
Allison Morrow took home first place and 11 team points with a time of 1:55.41.
Senior
Kaitlin Dunning finished second in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:03.41, while
Sarah Mullane won the 50 yard free with a time of 27.26. Dunning also won the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 56.18.
Brockport's
Alexiana Foster won the 1 meter diving competition with a score of 294.85 to earn nine team points for the Golden Eagles. Foster also picked up nine team points for Brockport in the three meter dive as she recorded the top score of 227.40.
Bri Owen won the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 1:03.98 and
Nicole Orcutt placed first in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:29.07.
Hailey Rossi was the top finisher in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:11.63, while senior
Haley Brucato placed third with a time of 1:18.24.
Brockport will return to the pool on February 19
th as the Golden Eagles participate in the SUNYAC Conference Championships at the Flickinger Center in Buffalo, NY. Championships begin at 10 a.m. each day and will run Wednesday-Saturday.
