The SUNY Brockport men's soccer team dropped a heartbreaker in its season-finale on Saturday as visiting Buffalo State earned a 3-2 victory on Homecoming & Family Weekend for the Golden Eagles. 

Brockport finishes the year with a 7-7-1 overall record and a 3-6 mark in SUNYAC Conference play. 

The Golden Eagles rallied from a 2-0 first half deficit with two goals in a stretch of less than eight minutes midway through the second half. 

Josh Fitzpatrick began the Golden Eagle rally when he netted his third goal of the season off a corner kick that was sent in by senior Noah Mohamed to set the score at 2-1 in favor of the Bengals just over ten minutes into the second half. 

7:46 later, the Golden Eagles earned a penalty kick after a Buffalo State foul in the box.  Leading scorer Matthew Stefaniw converted the PK into the lower left corner to knot the score at 2-2 in the 66^th minute. Stefaniw caps his season by tying his career-high with 12 goals. He now has 32 goals and seven assists in 57 career games played in the green and gold.  He is tied for seventh on the program's all-time list with 32 goals. 

Musa Abdulla netted a game-high two goals for the Bengals, including the game-winner in the 78^th minute to propel the visitors to their 12^th win of the season heading into the SUNYAC Tournament.
