Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport men's soccer team will travel to Houghton College on Tuesday, September 14th where they'll take on the Highlanders at 7 p.m. the Golden Eagles are currently 3-1-1, while Houghton will look to pick up its first win of the year having started the season 0-4. Last Time Out: In its three previous games, the Golden Eagles have outscored their opponents 12-1 while recording shutouts against both Mt. Aloysius and Elmira. Against the Soaring Eagles, the Green and Gold scored six goals. SUNYAC leading goal scorer,
Matthew Stefaniw managed to score his first career hat trick in the game, while
Cody Sherlock,
Josiah Fragnito and
Colton McCane all scored their first goals as Golden Eagles in the same game.
Andrew Taylor played a total of 44:00 minutes in goal while junior
Ryan Gall managed to come in the game to protect the net for Brockport in his colligate debut. With Taylor picking up the win, he and Gall managed to not allow a single goal all game as the duo picked up a combined shutout.

Brian Fornelos and
Nick Van Wie would also factor into the teams win, managing to setup their teammates to record assists on the night.
Looking at Houghton: Having been outscored by its first four opponents 2-10, the Highlander will attempt to pick up a win against a Golden Eagles team who is looking to pick up their fourth straight win. Andy Loomis and Oscar Palacios have recorded the two goals for the Highlanders this season with Alex Kalivoda assisting both goals. Having split an even number of minutes in goal for Houghton, Goalkeepers Sam Carpenter and Joshua Ludolph have both played in two games, each allowing five goals apiece.
Tuesday's game will mark the first of a six game road trip for the Golden Eagle's. The men won't see competition again for 11 days when they'll travel to SUNY New Paltz on Friday, September 24th at 4 p.m. to take on the Hawks in Brockport's first SUNYAC Conference opponent of the season.
