Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport men and women's swim and dive team is back in action on Friday for the first time since December 4^th, 2021. The Golden Eagles are on the road at Buffalo State for a 5 pm start time for the meet.
 
So Far Summary: At this point in the season the women own a 4-1 record in dual meets, while the men are at 1-4. Both teams have a win over Buffalo State from early on in the season, as the Green and Gold heads to take on the Bengals on Friday. At the last competition, the Cougar Splash Invitational, the women took second place (479 points) and the men placed third (311 points). Both teams have had strong individual performances as Kyra Russ, Ren Watson, Mark Eaton, and Nicole Orcutt have all earned weekly awards this year.
 
Eaton on the Board: Junior Mark Eaton has had a great year so far on the diving board for the Green and Gold. He has been named PrestoSports Male Diver of the Week four times this season by the SUNYAC conference offices. He has placed first or second in every diving event he has competed in this season. After making an appearance last season at the NCAA Division III Regional Diving Championships, Eaton seems primed and ready for another shot.
 
Orcutt's Big Season: Nicole Orcutt has been consistently winning events for the Green and Gold this year. Her efforts have been recognized as PrestoSports Women's Swimmer of the Week twice already in her junior campaign. Orcutt has won or finished top five every meet in several events, including the 100-yard butterfly, 200-yard butterfly, 500-yard freestyle, and 1,000-yard freestyle.
 
Morrow's Event: Allison Morrow has been fantastic in the breaststroke events all season. Morrow has placed first in every 200-yard breaststroke event so far this season, dominating the event for Brockport. She has also been successful in the 100-yard breaststroke, placing first in all but one race for the event.
 
SUNYAC's Coming Up: Brockport has just two meets prior to the start of the SUNYAC Championships. The conference championship meet is approaching rapidly, as it gets started in the middle of February. SUNYAC's will be hosted at the ECC Flickinger Center out in Buffalo, NY, running from February 17^th-20^th.
 
Senior Day: The Golden Eagles will host St. Lawrence University next week on January 28^th, for their last home meet of the year. They will take the time to celebrate Senior Day that Friday, as the meet is set to start at 4 pm.
