Buffalo, NY – The SUNY Brockport women's swim and dive team dominated Buffalo State on Friday in the team's return to action. Brockport cruised to a 191-60 win in the first meet back since early December of 2021, improving to 5-1 on the season.
Nicole Orcutt took first place in several events on the day. Orcutt won the 1,000 yard freestyle (11:41.93), 100-yard butterfly (1:05.53), and the 100-yard freestyle (58.99). She was even on the winning 200-yard freestyle relay squad alongside
Elizabeth Sagan,
Allison Morrow, and
Sawyer Parker. Orcutt helped secure 38 points for the Green and Gold.
Elizabeth Sagan placed first in the 200-yard freestyle to score nine points, clocking in at 2:06.08. She also won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.93 to snag nine more points for the squad.
Sawyer Parker's time of 5:39.12 was good for a win in the 500-yard freestyle race.

Ren Watson, and
Moira Kurak placed first/second/third in the 1 & 3-meter diving events. The trio scored a total of 32 points for the Golden Eagles from sweeping the two events.
In the 100-yard breaststroke and the 100-yard individual medley,
Allison Morrow placed first to earn 18 points. Morrow was also with
Sawyer Parker,
Bri Owen, and
Emily Meissner to swim a time of 2:01.51 for first in the 200-yard medley relay. Owen also took first individually in the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 28.83.
After winning their fifth dual meet in a row, the Golden Eagles are ready to get after it again next weekend in the home pool. They host St. Lawrence on January 28
th for Senior Day, with all the action starting at 4 pm.
