Women's Swim & Dive Squad Beats Oneonta on The Road 177-120

Oneonta, NY- The SUNY Brockport Swimming and Diving program competed against SUNY Oneonta at the Chase Pool in Oneonta New York, on Saturday afternoon. The Women beat the Red Dragons 177-120 while the men fell 122-164.
 
The Women placed first in 13 of the 14 races swam. The 200 yard medley relay team of Miya Vitale, Sam Whitman, Emily LeFrois-Heath and Sawyer Parker got the ball rolling with a time of 1:59.94.
 
Hannah Pauly touched first in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 12:07.25 collecting her first collegiate win. 
 
Emily LeFrois-Heath placed first in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:02.90. She also placed first in the 100 freestyle with a time of 57.90 and again in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:16.23.
 
Nicole Orcutt finished first in both the 200 butterfly and the 500 freestyle in first place. She swam the 200 fly in 2:26.08 and 5:36.11 in the 500 free. 
 
Sam Whitman also collected her first collegiate win, touching first in the 100 breast (1:16.32). 
 
Miya Vitale placed first in the 100 butterfly (1:04.19) and the 200 yard backstroke (2:18.19). 
 
Sawyer Parker swam fast and finished first in both her 200 yard freestyle and the 50 freestyle. She went a 2:05.73 in the 200 and 26.95 in the 50. Parker was also a part of the final winning relay swam by Emma Purvis, Nicole Orcutt and Alexa Callaghan (1:47.41).
 
The Divers did eleven dives on a 1-meter board for this competition. Caroline Rossi finished in second place on the 1-meter board with a score of 175.65 and 136.10.
 
On the Men's side of the deck Luca Olivieri placed first in the 100 backstroke with a time of 56.45 and again in the 200 back (2:04.57). He also placed first in the 200 yard individual medley with a time of 2:04.16, eight seconds before any other competitor finished. 
 
Oliver Dragojevic placed first in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:03.45.
 
Down in the well, Kurt Mueller finished first in both diving sessions with scores of 268.25 and 169.65 giving him a qualifying score for NCAA Regionals. 
 
Ren Watson finished in third in both sessions with a score of 133.45 and 198.15.
 
Up Next: The Swimming and Diving team will host the Potsdam Bears at the James B. Fulton Natatorium at 1pm on Saturday November 12th.
