Men's Swim & Dive Falls to the Lakers on the Road

Oswego, NY – The SUNY Brockport Swimming and Diving team traveled to compete against the Oswego State Lakers. The women left Laker Hall with a win 201-73, a 128-point difference. The men fell to the Lakers in a tough battle, 158-133. 
 
The men battled for a first-place finish in the 200-yard medley. The team of Luca Olivieri, Oliver Dragojevic, Joe Keeney and Garrett Nanna touched the pads with a time of 1:41.37.
 
Jace Frederickson placed first in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:55.01. He placed first again in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:29.31.
 
Oliveri snagged second in the 50 back with a time of 27.10, and first in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 56.96.
 
Dragojevic placed first in the 50 breaststroke with a time of 28.04 and second in the 100 with a time of 100.81.
 
Keeney placed first in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 58.62.
 
Down in the well Kurt Mueller placed first in the 1-meter diving event with a score of 230.85, and second on the 3-meter with a score of 216.55. Ren Watson placed second in the 1-meter with a score of 199.65 and first on the 3-meter board with a score of 225.55.

The women's team got off to a hot start with a first and second place finish in the 200-yard individual medley. The team of Miya Vitale, Emily LeFrois-Heath, Nicole Orcutt and Elizabeth Sagan touched the pads with a time of 1:57.62. Right behind them was the team of Sawyer Parker, Sam Whitman, Alexa Callaghan and Emma Purvis finishing with a time of 2:06.37.
 
Brockport went second, third and fourth place in the 1000-yard freestyle. Hannah Pauly started the Golden Eagles off with a time of 12:01.86 just two second behind Oswego's first place finish of 11:59.74. Emi Wilck was next with a time of 12:47.01 and Esther Zadov snuck into fourth with a time of 12:56.04.
 
The women dominated the 200-yard freestyle with a first and second place finish from Sagan and Parker. Sagan touched the pads at 2:04.10 and Parker was right behind with a time of 2:04.57.
 
LeFrois-Heath won the 50 back with a time of 29.52, and the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:30.67. She also placed first in the 100-yard individual medley with a time of 1:06.27.
 
Orcutt dominated the 100-yard butterfly with a 1:04.35, followed by a second-place finish from Emi Wilck with a time of 1:09.53.
 
Sagan placed first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.88. Parker placed first in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 57.58.
 
Miya Vitale touched first in the 100-yard backstroke event with a time of 1:02.66, and first again in the 50-yard backstroke (28.74)
 
The team of Sagan, Orcutt, Parker and Emma Purvis brought it home for the women with a 1:44.36 and a first-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
 
Down in the well Kyra Russ placed first in the 1-meter diving event with a score of 211.55, and in the 3-meter with a score of 239.50.
 
Up Next: After the winter break and their training trip in Florida, The Golden Eagles will return to James B. Fulton Natatorium to host the Buffalo State Bengals on Friday, January 13th at 1pm.
