OSWEGO, NY – The SUNY Brockport men's baseball team lost 2-0 to the #20 Oswego State Lakers on Saturday evening.
Andrew Huffman (6-2) went 6.2 innings on the mound allowing a run each in the 6th and 7th inning while striking out eight batters over the frame of his work on the mound.
Nick Lawlor came into the game before being substituted for
Adam Douglas who would pitch the reaming 1.1 innings of the game for Brockport.
Ryan Voight and
Matt O'Dair recorded Brockport's only two hits of the game as
Ryan Mansell and
Nicholas Pastore both drew walks to reach base. O'Dair and Voight also managed to each steal a base
SUNYACS: Having a 23-5 overall record and a 7-3 conference record, the Golden Eagles currently sit in third place in the SUNYAC Standings behind the 20-6 overall and 10-0 in conference play Oswego State Lakers and SUNY Cortland (11-1, 26-7). Cortland's only conference loss of the season came against Brockport in a 3-1 victory back on Friday, April 8th. New Paltz and Oneonta both have four conference wins with Oneonta still needing to face Plattsburgh State who holds a 1-6 SUNYAC record and New Paltz still needing to face Plattsburgh, Brockport, and Cortland for a total of nine conference games over the next two weeks.
