Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport Men's and Women's Swimming and diving team will be gearing up for their final weekend full of races before the SUNYAC Championships this February. The Golden Eagles will host Monroe Community College for a dual meet Friday January 27
th at 6pm. The Following Saturday the Golden Eagles will Celebrate Senior Day with a Chuck a Duck Fundraiser for the team, during their Tri-Meet vs Alfred State and Fredonia.
Senior Day: The team will be honoring six members of the program at Saturday's tri-meet vs. Fredonia and Alfred State. The Men will honor Thomas Knack, Oliver Dragojevic and Kurt Mueller. The Women will celebrate
Nicole Orcutt,
Sawyer Parker and
Alexa Callaghan.
Chuck a Duck: On Saturday January 28
th the team will be hosting their first Chuck a Duck event. Upon entering James B. Fulton Natatorium, the team will be selling 1 rubber duckie for $5 and 5 rubber duckies for $20. At the first diving intermission a floating hoop will be set up in the pool and Guests will be asked to throw their duck into the hoop. Whoever's duck makes it to the middle wins a prize! All proceeds will go towards the Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving team.
Last Race Recap: The SUNY Brockport Men's and Women's swimming and Diving Team fell to SUNY Geneseo Friday, January 20th at Alumni Pool. The Women fell to Geneseo 80.5 to 161.5 while the men fell 53 to 170
The Women started with a third-place finish in the 200-yard Medley Relay with a time of 1:54.75, with a team of
Miya Vitale,
Addy Martino,
Emily LeFrois-Heath and
Sawyer Parker.
Sawyer Parker placed third in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:02.28.
Elizabeth Sagan took first in both the 50-yard freestyle (24.57) and the 100-yard freestyle events (54.38).
Emily LeFrois-Heath placed second in the 200-Yard Individual Medley with a time of 2:!6.82 as well as the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:02.44.
Miya Vitale took first in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:01.97.
Nicole Orcutt placed third in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:34.88.
Addy Martino placed third in the 100-breaststokre with a time of 1:12.85.
The team of Sagan, Parker, Orcutt and Vitale placed second in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:42.72.
Down in the well
Kyra Russ placed first on the 1-meter with a score of 269.80 and as well as first on the 3-meter with a score of 247.45, making her first of two national cuts to qualify for Zones.
Caroline Rossi placed fifth on the 3-meter with a score of 201.40.
The Men placed third in the first event. The team of

Jace Frederickson touched the pads with a time of 1:45.18.
Fredericksen placed fourth with a time of 1:53.75 in the 200-yard freestyle, and third in the 500-yard freestyler (5:15.89).
Olivieri placed second in the 200-Yard Individual Medley with a 2:04.18 as well as the 100 back (56.01).
Matt Chan took first in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:11.0

Kurt Mueller placed fifth on the 1-meter with a score of 206.10. On the 3-meter he scored 218.05 and placed fourth.
Looking at MCC: The Tribunes have a total of nine men on their roster and ten women. They are a part of the NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association).
Looking at the Blue Devils: Fredonia has six men on their roster and eleven women.
Looking at the Pioneers: Alfred State has twenty-five men on their roster and fourteen women.
