Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport Men's and Women's swimming and diving program hosted a Tri-Meet vs Alfred State and Fredonia, Saturday, January 28^th to celebrate senior day and the team's first ever chuck a duck event. The Men went 1-1 beating Fredonia 157-85 and falling to Alfred State 226-65. The Women went 2-0 beating Fredonia 192-89 and Alfred State 171-105.
 
Senior Day: The team will be honored six members of the program at the meet. The Men celebrated Thomas Knack, Oliver Dragojevic and Kurt Mueller, and the Women honored Nicole Orcutt, Sawyer Parker and Alexa Callaghan.
 
The women started the meet with a second-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay. The team of Maya Vitale, Addy Martino, Emily LeFrois-Heath and Sawyer Parker touched the pads with a time of 1:54.31.
 
Nicole Orcutt placed second in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:23.31, holding splits of under 35 per 50. Orcutt placed first in the 200-fly with a time of 2:21.77.
 
LeFrois-Heath touched first in the 200-free with a time of 2:00.87, six seconds faster than the second-place finisher from Alfred State. She touched first again in the 100-fly with a time of 1:00.87.
 
Vitale snags first in the 100-back with a time of 1:01.57, and in the 200-back with a time of 2:18.73. Corinne Wilson followed close behind in third with a time of 2:32.55.
 
Addy Martino placed first in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:11.81, followed by a third place finish by teammate Sam Whitman (1:15.12).
 
Parker took third in the 50-free with a time of 26.29 and second in the 100 with a time of 56.30.
 
Martino placed first again in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:39.74.
 
Orcutt took first again in the 500-free with a time of 5:31.79, holding all splits once again under 35 seconds a 50.
 
LeFrois-Heath snagged first again in the 400IM touching the pads with a time of 4:49.36. Close behind in third was Qian Rappazzo with a time of 5:26.73.
 
The women rounded out the meet with a third-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay, from the team of Parker, Emma Purvis, Alexa Callaghan and Orcutt.
 
Down in the well Kyra Russ placed first on 3-meter with a score of 297.45 . She also placed first on the 1-meter with a score of 271.70. Russ broke her own 3-meter record from yesterday's meet and has broken the pool record as well. Caroline Rossi placed second with a score of 226.45 on the 3-meter and second again on the 1-meter, with a score of 202.65 and beat her own person records.
 
Jace Frederickson placed third in the 1000-yard freestyle, touching the pads with a time of 10:54.21, and third in the 500 (5:17.82).
 
Luca Olivieri placed third in the 100-back with a time of 56.02 and second in the 200-breast with a time of 2:21.46.
 
Matthew Chan placed third with a time of 2:15.67 in the 200-yard butterfly, followed by teammate Ethan Niver in fourth with a time of 2:31.43.
 
Frederickson (2:06.49) and Chan (2:15.79) took third and fourth in the 200-yard backstroke. 
 
Chan placed fourth in the 400IM with a time of 4:52.98.
 
The men finished out the meet with a third-place finish, touching the pads at 3:29.24, from the team of Joe Keeney, Luca Olivieri, Garrett Nanna and Jace Frederickson. 
 
Down in the well Kurt Mueller placed second on the 1-meter for the men with a score of 278.95 and second again on the 3-meter with a score of 270.40. Ren Watson placed third on the 1-meter diving event with a score of 230.60 and third again on the 3-meter with a score of 256.25. Both men broken their own personal records at this afternoon meets.
 
The team will spent the next couple of weeks preparing for the four-day, championship format SUNYAC Conference Championships. SUNYAC's will be held at ECC in Buffalo from February 15^th to February 18^th.
