Pittsburgh, PA – The SUNY Brockport Men's Ice Hockey will open their season with a pair of non-conference games against Chatham University. The men will travel to Pittsburgh Pennsylvania to play the Cougars Friday, October 27
th at 3pm before returning home to host them on Saturday the 28
th. The Golden Eagles will honor their five seniors and their contributions to the Men's Ice Hockey program prior to Saturday afternoons game.

SUNYAC Preseason Poll: The SUNYAC released its 2023-24 men's ice hockey preseason poll as voted on by the conference coaches. Plattsburgh, the 2023 SUNYAC champion, sits at the top of the poll while Oswego was voted No. 2 and Geneseo No. 3. The Golden Eagles come in at sixth in the preseason poll heading into the new year.

Looking at the Cougars: Chatham will also be opening their season this weekend. The men finished last season with an overall record of 14-9-3, falling to Stevenson 3-6 in the first round of the UCHC Championship Tournament last February. Last season's leading scorer was Sophomore Caden Smith with a total of 13 goals and 18 assists. Returning to the goal for this season on the ice is Thomson Phinney. Phinney played 80:00 minutes last season allowing three goals. Phinney made 40 saves and ended the season with an overall save percentage of .930%.
Brockport will head to face SUNYAC and soon to be UCHC rival, SUNY Geneseo on the road the following Friday, November 3
rd for a 7pm puck drop at the Ira S. Wilson Ice Arena in Geneseo New York.
