Swimming and Diving Prepare for Home Opener Against Oneonta

Brockport, NY - The Brockport Swimming and Diving team will host Oneonta in dual meet action at home on Saturday, October 28th at 1pm. The meet will take place at the James B. Fulton Natatorium and will serve as the home opener for the Golden Eagles.

Last Meet: At the Cortland Pumpkin Relay, the Golden Eagles women's team took first place, scoring 275 points. The men's team secured 3rd place, scoring 144 points.
 
 Brockport took first place in the 4oo-yard medley relay, finishing in 4:14.62, and scoring 16 points. Miya Vitale, Addy Martino, Emily LeFrois-Heath, and Madison Parobek made up the relay.
 
Corinne Wilson, Madison Parobek, and Miya Vitale secured a Brockport victory in the 300-yard Backstroke relay, scoring 16 points and finishing in a quick 3:16.88.
 
Kyra Russ and Jaemara Sturdivant finished 1st and 2nd in the women's 1-meter dive, with Russ earning a final score of 261.2, and a 218.85 score for Sturdivant. Russ was named SUNYAC diver of the week for her performances and made her first NCAA cut of the season on the 1-meter board.
 
The men's 200-yard freestyle relay team of Jack Olsian, Alex Scaglione, Garrett Nanna, and Luca Olivieri earned a 2nd play finish and finished in 1:31.29, less than 2 seconds behind first place.
 
Matthew Chan, along with Matt Cole and Jace Fredericksen earned the Green and Gold a third-place finish in the 300-yard backstroke relay. The trio scored 12 points and finished at 3:00.20.
 
Scouting Oneonta: The Oneonta men's team finished 5th of 6 teams at the Hartwick Relays and secured a dual meet victory over Oswego State at home (106-72). The Red Dragon's women's team, much like the men, finished 5th at the Hartwick Relays, before falling against Oswego State 128-86 at home. The men will enter Saturday looking to win its first dual against Oneonta since 2020. The Golden Eagle women will look to do more of the same, attempting to take down the Red Dragons in dual action for the fourth straight season.
 
Up Next: The Golden Eagles will be back at the James B. Natatorium on Saturday, November 4th at 1pm to take on the Geneseo Knights.
