Brockport, NY – The Golden Eagle hockey team will return to Wegmans Ice Arena Friday, November 17
th for a 7pm puck drop against the Oswego State Lakers before traveling down to Cortland for a Saturday night game.
In the SUNYAC: Schuyler Flansburg is tied for 13
th in the SUNYAC in the points category. Flasnburg leads the team with 5 points throughout five games this season.
Manny Sanchez, Specner Flansbug and
Connor Galloway are all tied for 21
st in the Conference, with four points.
Dominic Chirico is tied for 14
th in the conference amongst defensemen with 2 points this season.
Jordan Rosenbaum is tied for 15
th in the conference with a +/- of +5, followed by Chirico tied for 24
th with a +3.

Brockport got the ball rolling scoring the first two goals of the game.
Schuyler Flansburg scored the first goal of the game 0:18 seconds into the first shift assisted by his brother
Spencer Flansburg and teammate
Manny Sanchez.
Jordan Rosenbaum sent the puck into the back of the net three minutes later at 4:04 in the first, assisted by
Chase Maxwell and
Connor Galloway. Potsdam snuck one in before the Golden Eagles sent into the first intermission up 2-1.
Potsdam scored its second goal of the game at 2:03 in the second followed by
Spencer Flansburg's first collegiate goal at 4:40. Spencer was assisted by
Andrew Harley and
Connor Galloway.
Michael Meredith scored unassisted at 6:49 in the second.
Schuyler Flansburg scored Brockport's 5
th goal and his third of the season, assisted by
Manny Sanchez and
Dominic Chirico at 7:51 in the second. The rest of the period was scoreless sending the Golden Eagles into the third up 5-2.
Potsdam scored their final goal of the game at 7:39 in the third. Brockport's
Ben Saurbaugh scored his first collegiate goal and the final goal of the game on an empty net, assisted by
Jacob Rodrigue.
Dylan Wiemer spent 60:00 minutes in goal tonight making 27 saves and allowing 3 goals.
Brockport recorded a total of 53 shots to Potsdam's 30.
. The Golden Eagles went 1 for 1 on the power play and 1 for 2 on the penalty kill, winning 40 of the 74 face offs in tonight's game.
In the second contest of the trip, the team fell, 3-1, to the Plattsburgh State Cardinals Saturday afternoon. Brockport turned to 2-3 overall and 1-2 in SUNYAC play.
Scott Ramaekers scored the first goal of the game at 5:40 in the first period assisted by
Connor Roach and
James Tilley. Brockport owned possession in the first, not giving the Cardinals a chance to answer back.
This is the first time this year a team has scored before the Cardinals and is also the first time this season the Cardinals have been down going into the first intermission.
Plattsburgh's Jake Lanyi evened up the score in the second before getting ejected 10 minutes later. The teams went into the third tied at 1-1.
The Cardinals scored twice more in the third and had a second ejection in the game. The final score of 3-1 is the Cardinals' lowest scoring game of the season thus far.
Dylan Wiemer spent 57:59 in goal tonight for the Golden Eagles making 48 saves and allowing three goals.
Brockport was 5-for-5 on the penalty kill Saturday night.
Looking at the Lakers: Oswego is 4-1 overall and 3-0 in conference play heading into Friday night's game. The Lakers one loss this year came from a 3-7 loss against Elmira College.
