Brockport, NY – The Golden Eagle swim and dive teams hosted Geneseo and Nazareth for a tri-meet on Saturday. Both the women and the men went 0-2 on the day, despite some solid showings across several events.
The Brockport men's team is now 0-3 overall in dual competition, after losses to Geneseo (112-79) and Nazareth (161-117) at home. On the women's side of the pool the squad is now 1-2 after falling to Geneseo (165-132) and Nazareth (168-132).
In the women's 200-yard medley relay, Brockport had teams take first and third place in the event. The A-team of
Emily LeFrois-Heath,
Addy Martino,
Sarah Kilburn, and
Emily Meissner won with their time of 1:55.33.
With a time of 2:00.9, the second squad of
Corinne Wilson,
Sam Whitman,
Maddie Erhardt, and
Emma Butler placed third in the relay.
Luca Olivieri finished less than a second behind the first place finisher from Geneseo in the men's 100-yard breaststroke. He took second place with his time of 1:02.62.
Individually,
Addy Martino swam a 1:11.40 to take first in the women's 100-yard breaststroke. In the 200-yard butterfly event,
Emily LeFrois-Heath placed first with her finishing time of 2:18.75.
Sarah Kilburn clocked in at 25.47 for second place in the women's 50-yard freestyle. She came back in the 100-yard freestyle race with a 57.42 for third.
Ren Watson scored a 224.25 for third place in the men's 1-meter diving event. They placed third again on the 3-meter board with a score of 218.20.
The two-time reigning SUNYAC Diver of the Week,
Kyra Russ scored 248.05 for second in the women's 3-meter diving competition. Russ placed third on the 1-meter board with her tally of 235.85.
Taking third place, Jace Fredericksen swam a 2:08.62 in the 200-yard backstroke for the men. Luca Olivieri added a second place finish in the 200-yard backstroke with his time of 2:19.26, only about a second behind the event winner.
Addy Martino got inside the top three again in the women's 200-yard backstroke, finishing in third with a 2:40.44. Getting another individual event win,
Emily LeFrois-Heath clocked in at 1:01.47 to win the 100-yard butterfly.
Luca Olivieri notched a first-place finish in the men's 200-yard IM, thanks to his time of 2:03.06.
Emily LeFrois-Heath matched Olivieri in the women's 200-yard IM, taking first place with a time of 2:18.34.
Brockport's team of Jack Olsian, Alex Scaglione, Joe Keeney, and Garrett Nanna placed third with a 1:32.40 in the men's 200-yard freestyle relay.
The women also placed third in their 200-yard freestyle relay.
Sarah Kilburn,
Emily Meissner,
Emma Butler, and
Corinne Wilson combined for a time of 1:45.74.
The Golden Eagles will be on the road next weekend, as they travel to the pool at SUNY Potsdam on Saturday, November 11
th for a 1pm start.
