Brockport, NY – This Saturday the Golden Eagle swim and dive teams will travel to take on Oswego for some dual meet action. It all gets underway on December 2
nd at 1pm in the Laker Pool.
Mid-Season Success: The last time Brockport took to the water, the teams competed at Fredonia's Blue Devil Invitational. In the mid-season championship style meet, the Golden Eagles placed first on the women's side and the men took fourth place.
During the 3-day meet, the Golden Eagles had multiple first place finishers across a variety of different events on the women's side of the action:

Strong Outings: Both the men and women had other solid showings across several events at the Blue Devil Invitational. On day one,
Corinne Wilson,
Addy Martino,
Emily LeFrois-Heath, and
Sarah Kilburn teamed up for third place in the 400-yard medley relay.
The men's group of Jack Olsian, Alex Scaglione, Garrett Nanna, and Luca Olivieri placed fourth with a 1:30.28 in the 200-yard freestyle relay. Olivieri also placed fourth on his own in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:00.94.
In the women's 200-yard freestyle relay, Brockport's team of
Sarah Kilburn,
Emma Butler,
Madison Parobek, and
Emily LeFrois-Heath swam at 1:41.44 for second place.
After that Brockport saw
Madison Parobek,
Addy Martino,
Emily LeFrois-Heath, and
Sarah Kilburn earn second with a 1:52.34 in the 200-yard medley relay.
Kilburn also placed second in the 100-yard butterfly with a 1:00.87 time, with
Maddie Erhardt right behind her in third at 1:02.46. Martino swam a 1:09.41 individually for second in the 100-yard breaststroke.
In the men's 100-yard backstroke final, Luca Olivieri took third place with his time of 54.16. He followed up with another third-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke, swimming a 1:58.83.
In the women's 100-yard freestyle final,
Sarah Kilburn came back with a second-place time of 54.06. She finished 0.08 seconds behind the first place swimmer for the event.
With a score of 398.85,
Jaemara Sturdivant took second place in the women's 1-meter diving competition behind teammate
Kyra Russ.
Ren Watson placed third on the men's 3-meter diving board, scoring 410.80 points.
In the women's 400-yard freestyle relay, Brockport's group took third place.

Emily LeFrois-Heath combined for a time of 3:44.52.
4-Time Diver of the Week: Following the team's last outing at Fredonia,
Kyra Russ was selected as the SUNYAC Women's Diver of the Week. She has now been chosen for this weekly honor four times already this season.
Russ took first place on both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving boards. In the 1-meter competition she took first with a score of 428.25. Then on the 3-meter board she scored a 438.55 to win once again. With her work that weekend she hit the NCAA cut for the second time, locking up a spot to compete at NCAA Regionals.
Dual Competition: Brockport will look to get back on track in regards to dual meets this weekend against Oswego. The women's team is 1-2 in dual action, most recently falling to Nazareth and Geneseo. On the men's side of the pool the squad is looking for its first dual win of the season, after going 0-3 so far this year.
Looking at Oswego: The Lakers currently own a 2-1 dual mark for the women and a 1-2 record on the men's side. The ladies worked for a second-place finish at the North Country Invitational with 435 points, while the men placed third with 265 points. The meet featured five competing teams on both sides, and marks the last time Oswego competed in the pool until this weekend.
Looking Way Ahead: The Golden Eagles will have a big break in the action before they compete in the water again this season following Saturday's trip to Oswego. They will begin to prepare for another dual meet on Saturday, January 13
th at Hobart & William Smith College (1pm).
