Brockport, NY - The Brockport wrestling team will head to SUNY Cortland to compete in the Red Dragon Duals on Saturday, December 7
th, beginning at 12 pm.

Red Dragon Duals: The Golden Eagles will take on St. John Fisher at noon before taking on Cortland at 2 pm, followed by a matchup with Alfred St. at 4 pm. The Green and Gold will enter the weekend looking to improve upon a 1-5 record in dual meets. Last Time Out: Brockport competed at the New Standard Corporation Invitational at York College last Friday. The Golden Eagles finished 15
th as a team, scoring 14 points.

In the 125lb weight division,Â
Liam Bullock pinned his first-round opponent in 5:22. However, he would end up forfeiting his next two and was eliminated from the bracket.

HeavyweightÂ
Nick Franco started off his day strong with two straight pins. It only took him 30 seconds to win the first-round bout, while finishing off his second opponent in just 1:12. Franco lost in the third round by a 4-2 decision, before forfeiting his next bout.

Kiam Coleman was pinned in the first round in the 174lb division and was given a bye in the second round. He bounced back in the third with a win by fall at 3:11 to move forward. However, his day ended abruptly with a fall at 0:38 in the fourth round.

Leading the Charge: Liam Bullock (125 lbs) and heavyweight
Nick Franco have been stellar on the mat for the Green and Gold thus far. Both Franco and Bullock earned third-place finishes at the SUNYAC Championships at RIT, in addition to picking up multiple wins at the Brockport Duals and Mount Union Invitational.

Scouting Cortland: The Red Dragons have put together a slew of strong invitational performances to begin the season. Cortland has earned 3
rd place finishes at both the Roger Williams Invite and Elizabethtown Blue Jay Classic, along with a 1
st place team finish at the SUNYAC Championships. Senior captain J.C. Cardenas currently holds a #7 rating nationally in the 133 lb weight class.

Scouting St. John Fisher: Saturday will mark the first dual meet for the Cardinals, recently competing at the RIT Invite, and earning a 6
th place finish at the SUNYAC Championships at RIT. Carl Santariello earned the top finish at the RIT invite for the Cardinals, earning 5
th in the 125-pound weight class.

Scouting Alfred St: The Pioneers will also be making their dual meet debut this weekend at Cortland, most recently taking 8
th as a team at the New Standard Invite. Â
Sean Malenfant earned the 184 lb title in York, PA, with Zach Levey finishing 3
rd in the 133-pound weight class.
