Rochester, NY – The SUNY Brockport Baseball team earned its 10th straight win today after beating Plattsburgh State, 5-0, in the final game of the three-game series. After a 3-0 sweep of the Cardinals, Brockport improves to 14-6 overall and 6-0 in conference play.
 
Matthew Colucci pitched all nine innings on the mound for the Golden Eagles. He allowed just one hit in the game and struck out 14 batters in the victory.
 
Brockport scored the first run in the bottom of the first. Nicholas Pastore hit a double to left field. Zach Eldred hit a double right after, brining Pastore home.
 
The game continued to be quiet until Brockport scored a second run in the bottom of the fifth.  Justin Pangburn was walked, and Jason Mansell grounded out as a sacrifice allowing Pangurn to advance to second. Pangburn then advanced to third on a wild pitch. James Houlahan singled to left center brining Pangburn home.
 
The Golden Eagles scored the final three runs of the game in the bottom of the seventh. Brian Tietjen walked, and Pangburn hit a double, putting men on second and third base. Jason Mansell singled, batting home both Pangburn and Tietjen. Houlahan reached on a fielder's choice and Mansell was out at second. Johnny Genau hit a single to left field brining Houlahan to second. Pastore flied out to center field and Houlahan advanced to third. Zach Eldred brought home the last runner of the day, Houlahan, on a single to right field.
 
Brockport will travel to Saint John Fisher University on Tuesday, April 4th for a 3pm game.
