Buffalo, NY – The SUNY Brockport softball team was swept on the road Friday in a conference doubleheader against Buffalo State. The hosting Bengals took the win in game one, 3-0, before winning the second game, 4-2.
Amanda Blakely was 2-for-3 at the plate in the first game, connecting for a double. Freshman
Caitlyn Dailey also was 2-for-3 in the game for the Golden Eagles. Both
Kellie Gentile and
Jodie Burdick finished 1-for-3.
Fiona Gibiser pitched the full game for Brockport once again. She allowed eight hits with three runs scored to go with three strikeouts.
The Bengals scored one run in the second inning and two more in the sixth to pull out the win in game one.
Going into the second game, Brockport got on the board early with a run in the first.

Hannah Jacobs added another run for the team in the sixth with an RBI double to score

Buffalo State had two runs in the second and was able to score two more big runs in the sixth to pull out the 4-2 win.
Emma DeJesus went 2-for-3 with a run and a double in the second game.
Annie Dipirro was 2-for-4 with an RBI, while
Hannah Jacobs was 1-for-1 with an RBI double as a pinch hitter.
Jodie Burdick went 1-for-2 with one run in the contest.
Roseland Stroh pitched 5.1 innings for Brockport, allowing three earned runs on six hits. Gibiser threw the final 0.2 innings to finish out the game.
The Golden Eagles are on the road again Saturday for a doubleheader with Fredonia, starting at 12pm.
