Brockport, NY - The Golden Eagles wrestling team will head to Worcester, MA for the WPI Quad meet on Saturday, January 27
th at 11 a.m. Brockport will take on WPI, New England College, and Southern Maine.

Last Outing: The Golden Eagles finished 11
th out of 20 teams at the New York State Collegiate Championships at Nassau Community College on Saturday, January 20
th.

Elvis Vasquez scored five points for the Golden Eagles in the open 149 lb division. Vasquez scored two wins in the consolation bracket. He defeated Patrick Stauring of Elmira by fall and got his second win in the consolation match by medical forfeit.
Luke Coffin finished sixth in the freshman/sophomore 285lb division for the Green and Gold. After receiving a bye in round one and falling in the quarterfinal, Coffin scored a quick 34-secondÂ
pinfall win. He then followed up with another win byÂ
pinfall (2:02) in the consolation semifinals.

Jaden Friel earned third place in the freshman/sophomore 141lb division for Brockport. He defeated Richard Morales of Alfred State by fall in 59 seconds, before taking down Johnny Vicario of Oswego State by fall in the quarterfinal round (1:44). Friel would come out on top in his third-place match against Wayne Earl of Oswego State (Fall 2:02).

Kiam Coleman impressed in the freshman/sophomore 174lb division, securing a third-place finish. Coleman would finish 3-1 on the day, winning his third-place match over Calvin Brown of Merchant Marine Academy by fall in 4:48. Â

Scouting WPI: WPI currently sits at 4-7, most recently going 1-3 at the NEWA duals in Providence, RI last weekend. The Golden Eagles have dominated in head-to-head competition, winning all 8 meetings against WPI dating back to the 2012-13 season.

Scouting New England: The Pilgrims currently sit at 3-5 on the season, most recently taking down WPI, 27-19, last Sunday. This Saturday's meet will mark a rare meeting between the Golden Eagles and the Pilgrims.

Scouting Southern Maine: The Huskies will take a 7-6 overall record into the weekend, recently going 3-1 at the NEWA Duals at Johnson & Wales. Southern Maine's best finish came at the Ted Reese Invite, finishing 4
th out of 12 teams.
