Rochester, NY – On Friday the SUNY Brockport swim and dive teams were on the road for a dual meet against Monroe Community College. The women picked up a dominant win, 204-18, for their third win in a row to jump to 4-2. The men's team won its second dual in a row, 139-89, to improve to 2-3-1.
Altogether on the day, the Golden Eagles combined for 21 event wins across the board out of 26 total events at the meet.
The Golden Eagles started the day with a win in the women's 200-yard medley relay.
Madison Parobek,
Addy Martino,
Emily LeFrois-Heath, and
Maddie Erhardt swam a 1:57.27 for first place.
Emilena Wilck turned in a time of 20:23.56 for first place in the 1,650-yard freestyle race. Wilck also took first in the 100-yard butterfly, finishing in 1:08.04.
Miya Vitale won the 200-free, clocking in at 2:07.08. Vitale then swam a 1:19.28 for first place in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Parobek came back with a win in the 50-yard freestyle thanks to her time of 27.00. In the 100-yard IM,
Brienne Westfall registered a 1:10.24 to win the event.
LeFrois-Heath finished the 100-free with a first-place time of 57.48. With a time of 1:14.55 in the 100-back,
Kyla Bugbee placed first in the event.
Addy Martino earned a win in the 500-free with her time of 5:45.87.
Kyra Russ won on both diving boards once again for the Green and Gold. She scored a 270.83 for first on the 3-meter board. Russ followed up with first place on the 1-meter board with a score of 245.03.
The women's 400-yard freestyle relay team of Martino, Parobek, LeFrois-Heath, and
Sarah Kilburn closed out the day with a first-place time of 3:56.11.
On the men's side of the action, Brockport grabbed first place in the 200-yard medley relay. The group of Matthew Chan, Luca Olivieri, Joe Keeney, and Alex Scaglione combined for a finishing time of 1:46.46.
Jace Fredericksen swam a first-place time of 18:31.95 in the men's 1,650-yard freestyle event. Scaglione turned in a time of 1:55.91 in the 200-yard freestyle for first place.
Jack Olsian grabbed first place in the 50-free with his time of 23.16. He then repeated his winnings ways in the 100-free with a 51.74 for first place. In the men's 100-yard IM, Olivieri added another win with his 57.14 showing.
Matt Cole got in on the action with his first place finish in the 100-back, recording a time of 1:01.09.
Clocking in at 3:33.08, the men's 400-freestyle relay team of Olsian, Scaglione, Fredericksen, and Garrett Nanna placed first.
The Golden Eagles are back in the pool again on Saturday for a dual meet at Fredonia. The action is set to get started at 1pm.
