Brockport, NY - The Brockport men's soccer team will close out the regular season at home against Geneseo on Wednesday, October 29^th.
 
Last Outing: On Saturday, October 26th, the Golden Eagles and the Pioneers fought to a 1-1 draw at Utica. Brockport moved to 6-6-3 overall and 5-3-2 in Empire 8 Contests.
 
Andrew Taylor was strong throughout, playing all 90 minutes and making four saves.
 
Russ Domm would net the lone tally for the Green and Gold.
 
Giovanni Cardona led all Golden Eagles with two shots on goal.
 
Alex Rivara, Giovanni Cardona, and Khadim Amar played all 90 minutes for Brockport.
 
Playoff Implications: Entering the final game of the regular season, the Golden Eagles have clinched a spot in the E8 Tournament. A win over Geneseo in the season finale would secure Brockport a home playoff game on Saturday as the #3 seed in the tournament. Brockport can finish as high as the #3 seed and as low as the #6 seed. A Brockport loss and a SUNY Poly win/draw would send Brockport on the road for the opening round.
 
Team Leaders: The Golden Eagles offense has been led by Max Voyer and Russ Domm, who each have five goals and 10 points. Khadim Amar (1248) and Giovanni Cardona (1245) have been the workhorses this season, the lone Golden Eagles with 1200+ minutes played.  
 
Scouting Geneseo: The Knights currently hold the #3 seed in the E8, posting an 8-4-4 overall record and a 6-2-2 mark in E8 contests. Brockport will enter Wednesday wanting to replicate last year's matchup that saw the Golden Eagles pull out a 2-0 win.
