Brockport, NY- The Brockport ice hockey team will make its UCHC debut with a pair of games at Manhattanville. The Golden Eagles will take on the Vailants on Friday, November 8^th at 7 p.m. before facing off once again on Saturday at 3 p.m.
 
Last Time Out: At the Buffalo State Bengals Classic, the Golden Eagles picked up a draw against Misericordia last Saturday, 4-4, before falling 2-0 in the shootout. Brockport moved to 0-0-2 on the season following the draw.
 
Kaleb Miller, Mitchell Haight, Victor Malzahn, and Spencer Flansburg all netted goals for the Green and Gold
 
Dax Easter would come up big in overtime, making three of his 20 saves on the day to force a shootout.

Brockport was excellent in the faceoff circle, winning 40 of 66 chances.
 
Chase Maxwell, Jacob Gates, Josh Grund, and Sacha Trudel all chipped in with assists on the day.
 
Spencer Flansburg led the way with a goal, assist, and team-leading five shots in a strong effort.
 
E8 POTW: Spencer Flansburg was named the Empire 8 Men's Ice Hockey Player of the Week following a strong weekend at the Buffalo State Bengals Classic. Across two games for the Golden Eagles on the week, Flansburg tallied three points with two goals and an assist. In Brockport's 2-2 shootout loss against Saint Anselm, Flansburg sent the game into overtime with a clutch goal at the 18:21 mark of the third period. He would finish with five shots on the day in addition to winning 75% of his faceoffs.
 
First Tally: Last weekend marked several first points for the new Golden Eagles. Mitchell Haight and Kaleb Miller both netted their first goals as Golden Eagles, with Sacha Trudel (2) and Joseph Nikac earning their first assists.
 
Scouting Manhattanville: The Vailants finished the 2023-24 seasons with a 9-17 overall record and a 9-11 mark in UCHC play. The two teams have not met since 2014, which resulted in a 4-3 Brockport win.
