Swimming & Diving Heads to Hartwick Tri-Meet on Saturday

Brockport, NY- The Brockport men's and women's swimming & diving teams will head to Hartwick for Tri-Meet action on Saturday, November 8th at noon. The Golden Eagles will faceoff with Hartwick and former SUNYAC rival Oneonta.
 
Last Outing: Both the men's and women's teams suffered losses at Geneseo on Saturday, November 2nd. The men's team fell to 1-2 following the loss, with the women's team moving to 2-1 following the loss.
 
In the 50-yard freestyle, Elizabeth Sagan would bring home the win with an excellent 24.91 finish. Sagan would add a 2nd place finish in the 100-yard freestyle.
 
In the men's 200-yard backstroke, Luca Olivieri would finish 2nd overall with a strong 2:04.91 time.
 
Jace Fredericksen took 3rd place with a 5:12.19 finishing time in the men's 500-yard freestyle.
 
Erik Parkes impressed with a 2nd place finish in the men's 200-yard butterfly, posting a 2:05.67 time. Parkes would add a 4th place finish in the 100 freestyle and a 3rd place finish in the 100-yard butterfly.
 
Miya Vitale took 2nd place in the 100-yard backstroke, finishing less than a second behind the lead with a 1:04.32 mark.
 
Addy Martino added a 2nd place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke, wrapping up in 1:12.60. Martino would grab another 2nd place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke.
 
Freshman Standout: In his first season with the Golden Eagles, freshman Erik Parkes has made an impact since day one. At the Alfred Tri-Meet, Parkes bought home the win with a 1:48.94 time in the 200-yard freestyle. Parkes would continue his dominance, taking first in the 100-yard buttery as well.
 
Scouting Hartwick: The Hawks men's and women's teams have jumped out to a 4-0 start, most recently picking up wins against Nazareth. This weekend will mark the first matchup between Brockport and Hartwick as members of the Empire 8.
 
Scouting Oneonta: The Red Dragons men's team has jumped out to a 1-1 start, with the women's team currently holding a 0-2 mark on the season. Both teams are coming off losses against RPI from October 26th. This weekend will mark a renewed rivalry from Brockport's time in the SUNYAC.
 
Up Next: The Golden Eagles will host an inter-squad alumni meet on Saturday, November 16th at 10 a.m.
