Brockport, NY – The Golden Eagles took the win on both sides of the action against Nazareth in the final home swim and dive meet of the season. The women won 154-88, while the men's team won 113.5-108.5.
Brockport's women improved to 6-2 in duals on the season and got to work right away in the home pool.
In the 50-free,
Sarah Kilburn took first place with a time of 24.96. Teammate
Elizabeth Sagan swam a 55.58 to earn the win in the 100-free shortly after.
The squad also got it done in the distance races.
Emily LeFrois-Heath grabbed first in the 500-free with a time of 5:27.29.
Emilena Wilck won the 1,000-free thanks to a time of 11:52.19.
In the 100-back it was
Miya Vitale that emerged victorious, clocking in at 1:01.22.
Addy Martino won the 100-breast (1:10.81), while Kilburn returned for first place in the 100-fly (1:00.99).
In the diving competitions,
Kyra Russ earned first place on the 3-meter board (267.30) and second on the 1-meter board (260.85). LeFrois-Heath added another win to her ledger for the day with a time of 2:16.18 in the 200-yard IM.
In the relays the Golden Eagles were victorious in both showings. The first-place team of Sagan, Butler, Meissner, and Kilburn swam a 1:42.64 in the 200-free relay. In the 200-medley relay it was Vitale, Martino, LeFrois-Heath, and Butler that finished in 1:53.80 for first place.
Now taking a look at the men's side of the pool, Brockport's win moved the team's record to 4-3-1 in dual action.
Alex Scaglione picked up a win in the 100-free event with his time of 49.64. Then in the 200-free, Jace Fredericksen placed first with a 1:52.20.
Luca Olivieri picked up a trio of wins for a strong outing at home. He registered times of 56.51 in the 100-back, 1:03.37 in the 100-breast, and a 2:05.83 in the 200-IM.
Ren Watson went uncontested in the men's diving competitions, grabbing valuable points on the boards. Ren scored a 258.98 on the 1-meter and a 263.18 on the 3-meter.
Brockport is now finished with its regular season slate and begins final preparations for the upcoming SUNYAC Championships. It all begins on Wednesday, February 21
st and will be hosted by Erie Community College in Buffalo.
