Brockport, NY - The Brockport wrestling team will host senior day against Elmira College on Wednesday, February 8
th at 7 p.m.
Senior Class: Before the start of the dual, the Golden Eagles will take some time to recognize the 2023-24 senior class and their contributions to the Brockport wrestling program. These seniors include
Liam Bullock,
Mahmoud Esa,
Nick Franco,
Alexander Fronczak,
Marquis Larmond,
Elvis Vasquez, and
Francis Whitehouse.

Last Meet: The Golden Eagles secured an 8
th-place finish at the John Summa Invitational in Berea, OH. Brockport finished with 56.5 team points on the day.

Nick Franco continued his strong season with a third-place finish in the men's 285lb division, scoring 23.5 big points for the Golden Eagles. Franco took the 3
rd place match following a medical forfeit for his 4
th win on the day.

In the men's 125lb division,Â
Liam Bullock took seventh place with a 5-3 decision win over Noah Rosa of Wilkes, scoring 10 points for the Green and Gold.

Alex Burroughs scored 9.5 points for Brockport in the 133lb division, taking 8
th place overall.

Michael Syposs took 5 points in the men's 165lb weight class, scoring two wins by technical fall.

Mahmoud Esa grabbed 3 points for Brockport in the 149lb division, scoring a win by pinfall in his first match.

Staying Hot: In his senior season as a Golden Eagle,
Nick Franco has put together a strong season thus far. Before a third-place finish in Ohio this past weekend, Franco was the lone Brockport wrestler to go 3-0 at the WPI Duals. Back in November at the SUNYAC Championships, Franco impressed with a third-place finish.

Looking at Elmira: The Soaring Eagles sit at 0-9 in dual meet competition on the year, with their best team finish coming at the NYS Intercollegiate Open back on January 20
th (10
th of 20 teams). Both teams will enter Wednesday looking to end prolonged losing streaks, with Elmira dropping 9 straight compared to 8 straight losses for Brockport. Â
