Brockport, NY- The Brockport men's soccer team will play host to Russell Sage in home opener action on Saturday, September 14^th at 4 p.m. Saturday's contest will also mark the first Empire 8 conference game for the Golden Eagles.
 
Last Outing: Brockport suffered a 3-1 loss at Ithaca College on Tuesday, September 10^th. The Golden Eagles fell to 1-2-1 on the season following the loss.
 
Dylan Lopez posted a scoreless 16:30 between the pipes with one save.
 
Russ Domm led the Golden Eagles in the shooting department, totaling three shots on the day (2 SOG).
 
Eric Ramirez and Giovanni Cardona added a shot on goal each for the Green and Gold.
 
Khadim Amar played another complete game for Brockport. Amar is the lone Golden Eagle with 90 minutes played in all four outings for Brockport.
 
Home Opener History: The Golden Eagles have been historically successful in home opener action, fighting RIT to a 1-1 draw in last year's home opener. Brockport has posted a 3-0-2 record in their last five home openers, outscoring opponents 11-2 over that stretch. The Green and Gold have not been defeated in home-opener action since the 2017 season.

Scouting Russell Sage: The Gators have jumped out to a 2-2 start, most recently defeating Westfield State at home, 4-1. Russell Sage holds three players averaging a point per game, including Alejandro Aleo, Dimitri Gogas, and El Hadji Iba Sy.
