Potsdam, NY- The Brockport men's soccer team suffered its first defeat of the season, falling to Clarkson on the road, 2-1, on Friday, September 6
th. The Golden Eagles moved to 1-1-1 on the season following the loss.

Just 1:17 into the opening half,
Russ Domm capitalized on a Brockport 3 on 1, burying the game's opening goal to put the Golden Eagles ahead 1-0 early in the first.

Following a save on another
Russ Domm scoring chance, Clarkson's Eric McKean would net the equalizer at the 9:39 mark of the first.

Entering the second half tied at 1-1, Alex Rivera found a scoring chance but was denied by Carter Kladstrup.

Following a trio of
Andrew Taylor saves, the Golden Knights would finally break the tie with Zach Shufelt finding Josh Conklin for the game's deciding goal. Â

After outshooting Clarkson 6-4 in the first half, the Golden Knights responded with 4 shots on goal compared to 1 for Brockport.

Russ Domm (5 SH, 1G) and
Trevor Lagarde (3 SH) led the Golden Eagles in the shooting department.

Khadim Amar all went the distance for Brockport, playing all 90 minutes.
