Brockport, NY- The Brockport Men's Soccer team will head to Potsdam, NY to take on Clarkson on Friday, September 6^th at 3 p.m.
 
Last Outing: The Golden Eagles fought the University of Rochester to a 0-0 draw on the road on Tuesday, September 3^rd. Brockport moved to 1-0-1 on the season following the draw in Rochester.
 
Andrew Taylor (1-0-1) stopped all three shots he faced en route to his second shutout in as many games.
 
Khadim Amar (1 shot), DJ Taylor, Andy Cespedes, Alex Rivara (1 shot), Russ Domm (1 SOG), and Trevor Lagarde (1 shot) all played 90 minutes for Brockport.
 
Peter Tinaj (1 SOG) and Max Voyer (2 SOG) led the Golden Eagles with three shots each.
 
Between the Pipes: Much like his 2023 campaign, goalie Andrew Taylor has had an excellent start to the 2024 season. Taylor has started the season with two shutouts, highlighted by his 4 save effort in Brockport's season opener win at RIT. In his career, Taylor has posted an impressive 25-12-13 record, accumulating 214 saves and an excellent 1.01 GA/AVG.
 
Impact Freshman: In his first two games as a Golden Eagle, freshman Khadim Amar has been a vital part of an excellent Brockport backline. Amar has played all 180 minutes of the Golden Eagles' first two contests, leading Brockport to two clean sheets to begin the season.
 
Scouting Clarkson: The Golden Knights scored a 1-0 win to begin the season against St. John Fisher, coming off a strong 9-5-1 finish in 2023. The two teams last met in 2019, with Brockport coming out on top with a 5-1 win at home.
 
Up Next: Brockport will head to Ithaca to take on the Bombers on Tuesday, September 10^th at 4 p.m.
