Swimming & Diving Heads to Hobart & William Smith on Saturday

Brockport, NY—The Brockport swimming & diving teams will head to Geneva, NY to take on Hobart & William Smith on Saturday, January 11th at 1 p.m.
 
Last Time Out: Against Nazareth last Saturday, the men's team earned a 131-88 win to improve to 2-5 on the season in dual competition. The women's team fell to 4-3 on the season following a 139-103 loss at Nazareth.
 
Sarah Kilburn brought home the win in the 50m freestyle, finishing at 28.85. Kilburn would add a win in the 100m freestyle, wrapping up in 1:04.85.
 
Luca Olivieri did the same for the men's squad, winning the 50m freestyle with a 25.08 mark. Olivieri would secure another win in the 100m breaststroke, posting an excellent 1:12.18 time.
 
Jace Fredrickson would earn a victory in the men's 100m backstroke, rolling to a win with his 1:09.31 mark.
 
Mike Laviani would post his best outing in the men's 400 freestyle, winning the event with his 4:41.75 time.
 
Addy Martino would pick up the victory in the 100m breaststroke, wrapping up in 1:21.67. Martino's 5:13.69 mark in the 400m freestyle was good for second place on the day.  
 
Erik Parkes earned himself a 2nd place finish in the men's 200m freestyle (2:05.13). Parkes would also pull out a win in the men's 100m butterfly, finishing in 1:00.65.
 
Schedule Outlook: As the Golden Eagles look to get hot ahead of Empire 8 championships. Both teams have two duals remaining before the Empire 8 championships, beginning with a road dual at the University of Rochester. On Saturday, February 1st, the Golden Eagles will host Fredonia for Senior Day & Chuck-A-Duck to close out the regular season.
 
Scouting Hobart: The Statesmen hold a 2-3 record in dual competition, most recently defeating St Lawrence, 151-81, back in November. In 2024, the Golden Eagles rolled to a 187-49 win at home against Hobart.
 
Scouting William Smith: The Herons have rolled to a 4-1 record in dual meets, picking up a 157-137 in their last dual against St. Lawrence. The Brockport women's team rolled to a 188-106 win in last year's meeting with William Smith.
 
Up Next: The Golden Eagles will head to the University of Rochester on Saturday, January 25th at noon.
