Brockport, NY- The Brockport ice hockey team dropped Friday night's UCHC matchup with Manhattanville, 3-2, on Friday, January 24^th. The Golden Eagles fell to 4-10-2 overall and 2-9 in Empire 8 play.
 
Brockport would open the games scoring, with Aidan Taylor lighting the lamp with assists going to Matt Anastasio and Mitchell Haight. Cole Hudson would keep Manhattanville scoreless in the first, making 12 saves to send Brockport into the second period up 1-0.
 
Manhattanville would regain control in the second period, scoring two goals in less than three minutes to enter the third period up 2-1.
 
Just 2:45 into the third period, Chase Maxwell would provide the equalizer, finding the back of the net with Aidan Taylor and Victor Malzahn picking up assists.
 
A familiar theme of the contest, Manhattanville had a response, this time coming from Ryan McKenna at 12:21 to go ahead 2-1 with less than eight minutes remaining.
 
The Golden Eagles would find scoring chances in the final moments but would be unable to break through, falling 3-2 at home.
 
Matt Anastasio (1A), Aidan Taylor (1G, 1A), and Chase Maxwell (1G, 9-13 FO) led Brockport with a +2 rating on the day.
 
Cole Hudson was strong in defeat, making 38 saves with just three goals allowed.
