Rochester, NY – The SUNY Brockport swim and dive teams both split at the U of R Tri-Meet on Saturday. The men picked up a win over MCC, 194-80, and fell to the University of Rochester, 189-94. On the women's side of the action, Brockport beat MCC, 239-26, and lost to the U of R, 195-103.
The day began with Brockport's 200-yard medley relay taking third place for the women.

Sarah Kilburn, and Madeline Erhardt teamed up to swim a 1:55.67.
Sarah Colwell claimed third place individually in the 1000-freestyle event with a time of 11:59.48.
Jace Fredericksen (1
st) and Michael Laviani (2
nd) went uncontested in the men's 1000-free. Fredericksen clocked in at 12:13.24, just ahead of Laviani's 12:13.29.
Elizabeth Sagan swam a 2:01.02 for first place in the 200-free, beating out the second-place swimmer by just 0.59. She came back with another win in the 50-free, clocking in at 24.96.
Luca Olivieri earned a third-place finish with his time of 57.65 in the 100-yard backstroke.
With a time of 1:11.17,
Addy Martino took second in the women's 100-breaststroke.
Lindsey Spitz finished just behind in third with a time of 1:15.78.
In the 200-yard butterfly,
Varshana Ramgulam placed third with a time of 2:34.88.
Erik Parkes claimed first place with his 2:03.74 performance in the men's 200-yard butterfly.
On the diving board, Ren Watson claimed first in the men's 3-meter competition with a score of 248.80. Ren also took first on the 1-meter board, earning a score of 269.30.
In the women's 100-free,
Elizabeth Sagan nearly claimed a third event victory. She clocked in at 54.57 to place second, just 0.14 behind the first-place finisher.
Miya Vitale swam a 2:24.15 in the 200-yard backstroke for third place.
Luca Olivieri claimed second in the men's 200-back (2:08.81), while Matthew Cole placed third in the event (2:14.78).
Addy Martino snagged a win in the 200-yard breaststroke with her time of 2:33.37.
In the men's 500-free, Jace Fredericksen took second with a 5:09.60.
Sarah Kilburn earned the top spot in the 100-butterfly, clocking in at 1:01.67. Madeline Erhardt was close behind in second with a time of 1:03.10.
Erik Parkes swam a 54.21 in the men's 100-butterfly for third place.
Brockport's team of
Elizabeth Sagan, Madeline Erhardt,
Corinne Wilson, and
Sarah Kilburn teamed up for first place in the women's 200-yard freestyle relay. The group swam a time of 1:42.09, inching ahead of the second place team from the U of R (1:42.48).
The men's 200-freestyle relay team took third place in the event to close out the meet. Luca Olivieri, Garrett Nanna, Jack Olsian, and Erik Parkes swam a 1:32.58.
The Golden Eagles will be at their home pool on Saturday, February 1
st for their annual Senior Day & Chuck a Duck celebration. Meet is scheduled for a 1pm start, as Fredonia comes to town.
