BROCKPORT, N.Y- The Brockport Men's Soccer team will host Alfred on Wednesday, October 15th at 6 pm before heading to Elmira on Saturday, October 18th at 2 pm.
Last Outing: The Golden Eagles secured a 1-0 shutout victory over St. John Fisher on Saturday, October 11th. The win improved Brockport to 6-4-2 overall and 5-1-1 in Empire 8 contests.
Jadin Lyle would deliver the game-winning goal. Lyle would navigate past multiple St. John Fisher defenders to bury a bar-down rocket.
AJ Nelson (W, 5-0-1) picked up his third clean sheet of the season, making two saves and remaining unbeaten as a starter.
Ryan Mathis led all players with four shots. Mathis and
Peter Tinaj recorded two shots on goal each.
Brockport finished with a 13-7 shots advantage, recording six shots on goal to St. John Fisher's two.
Red Hot: Across the squads' last six outings, the Golden Eagles have posted a 5-0-1 record with three clean sheets, allowing less than one goal per game. Brockport has ripped off four straight conference victories and has since moved into second place in the Empire 8 conference.Â

AJ Nelson was named Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Week. The sophomore from Fairport led the Golden Eagles to a thrilling rivalry win over the Cardinals, giving him his third clean sheet of the season. Nelson was essential in the net, making two crucial saves to preserve the shutout. His stellar performance continues a remarkable run, as he remains unbeaten as a starter, boasting an impressive goalie record of 5-0-1.
Scouting Alfred: The Saxons hold a 4-6-2 record with a 2-3-2 mark in Empire 8 contests. Alfred is coming off a 2-2 senior day draw with Utica, and is searching for its first win since September 24th against Nazareth (1-0). The Golden Eagles will look for their fifth straight victory over the Saxons.Â
Scouting Elmira: The Soaring Eagles sit at 6-2-4 overall and 4-1-2 in conference action. Elmira is coming off a 2-1 loss at Geneseo last Saturday and will look to defeat Brockport for the first time since 1994. Â
