Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport swim and dive teams will be hosting Alfred University on Saturday, October 25
th for the first home meet of the season. This will also mark the start of dual meet action for the Golden Eagles, with the meet starting at 1pm in the James B. Fulton Natatorium.

Last Meet Recap: Last weekend the Golden Eagles were at the Webster Aquatic Center to compete at Geneseo's Fall Invite. The quad meet put Brockport up against Geneseo, Grove City, and Penn State Behrend. Here is a look at how both teams faired out in Webster:
Men's Results
In the men's 200-yard medley relay, Brockport's top team of
Patrick Power,
Anthony O'Leary,
Joe Keeney, and
Zander Benz swam a time of 1:42.61.
Jace Fredericksen then placed sixth with a time of 11:01.81 in the 1,000 freestyle.
In the 200 freestyle,
Erik Parkes swam a time of 1:51.75 on the day. Parkes would come back to take sixth with a 2:09.06 in the 200 butterfly.
Moving to the 100-yard backstroke,
Conner Berger clocked in at 59.88 just ahead of
Patrick Power at 1:00.30.
The ninth event of the meet saw Brockport's
Liam Farrell hit 1:03.15 in the 100 breaststroke.
RJ Krupski was able to place eighth in the 200 backstroke event with his time of 2:09.08.
In the 200 breaststroke,
Anthony O'Leary earned seventh with a time of 2:20.75.
Alex Nicita swam a second-place time of 5:05.59 in the men's 500-yard freestyle event.
Jace Fredericksen took ninth in the race at 5:18.63.
On the diving board,
Brenden Jardin-Reed scored 262.05 points for second on the 1-meter board. He came back on the 3-meter board to score 254.85 points for second place once again.
Women's Results
Lauryn Ball, Addy Martino, Skylar King, and Anna Lowe teamed up for a time of 1:53.99 in the women's 200-yard medley relay.
Sarah Colwell clocked in at 12:11.28 for seventh in the women's 1,000 freestyle race.
In her return to the program, Nicole Orcutt took second in the 200 freestyle with her time of 2:00.60. She also added another second-place finish with a 54.41 time in the 100 freestyle.
Individually, Lauryn Ball took seventh in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:03.90. She also placed fifth with a time of 2:19.15 in the 200 backstroke.
Addy Martino was able to place fourth in the 100 breaststroke event, clocking in at 1:11.92. She added another fourth-place finish in the 200 breaststroke thanks to her time of 2:38.66.
In the women's 200-yard butterfly, Varshana Ramgulam swam a 2:27.97 for seventh place. She also placed seventh with a 2:43.53 in the 200 breaststroke.
Anna Lowe and Maddie Erhardt both placed top three in the 50-yard freestyle. Lowe clocked in at 24.60 for second and Erhardt took third at 25.24. Erhardt also took sixth in the 100 freestyle with a time of 56.15.
Hannah Ramos placed seventh in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:21.28. Teammate Sage Vadney finished 10
th in the race, swimming a 2:23.11.
The women's 200-yard freestyle relay took second place in the event. The scoring time of 1:40.82 was swam by the squad of Anna Lowe, Maddie Erhardt, Nicole Orcutt, and Skylar King.
Emma Conner took fifth on the 1-meter board with 204.85 points. She also placed third on the 3-meter board, scoring 229.10 points.
Brockport vs Alfred: Both members of the Empire 8, Brockport and Alfred are set to meet up for some dual action for the second year in a row. Last year when the Golden Eagles went to Alfred, the women's team took the win, 158-74. On the men's side of the action, it was the Saxons that earned the victory, 162-74. Brockport will look to grab wins on both sides of the action this time around in the home waters.
Home Again Next Weekend: After this weekend's action, the Golden Eagles will have a week of practice before yet another home dual meet. On Friday, October 31
st, Brockport will welcome Geneseo for a 6pm start.
