Brockport, NY – The Golden Eagle swim and dive program hosted Alfred University on Saturday for their first home meet of the season. Brockport's women won the dual, 200-94, while the men dropped the home opener to the Saxons, 180-106.

Maddie Erhardt, and
Anna Lowe teamed up for first place in the women's 200-yard medley relay. The first place team on the day clocked in at 1:52.30.
Sarah Colwell won the women's 1,000-yard freestyle event, finishing in 11:42.87. Alex Nicita swam a 10:33.05 to place third in the men's 1,000 freestyle race.
The men's 200-yard medley relay placed third, with Conner Berger, Anthony O'Leary, Carter Lundin, and Garrett Nanna swimming a 1:42.97.
Swimming a time of 1:56.05, Jace Fredericksen placed third in the 200 freestyle.
Nicole Orcutt and
Hannah Ramos took the top two spots in the women's 200-yard freestyle. Orcutt placed first at 1:59.55, while Ramos placed second at 2:07.27.
Matthew Cole and Patrick Power battled for the top two times in the 50 backstroke event. Cole won the race with a 27.29, and Power was close behind in second at 27.43.
Another pair of Golden Eagles finished close together in the women's 50 backstroke.
Lauryn Ball swam a 29.74 for second, just barely beating teammate
Cassie Barber's third-place time of 29.79.
Addy Martino clocked in at 33.25 for second in the 50-yard breaststroke. Teammate
Lindsey Spitz was third in the event with a 34.25.
Erik Parkes fought for a second-place finish in the men's 100 butterfly, swimming a 54.00.
On the women's side of the 100 butterfly action, the Golden Eagles swept the top three spots in the event.
Maddie Erhardt (1:00.82),
Varshana Ramgulam (1:02.31), and
Miya Vitale (1:07.57) placed first, second, and third respectively.
Joe Keeney edged out a second-place finish in the men's 50 freestyle with his time of 22.64. With a time of 24.65,
Anna Lowe won the women's 50 freestyle event.
Brenden Jardin-Reed placed first on the 1-meter diving board with his final score of 276.95. He then scored 224.55 points on the 3-meter board, taking the uncontested win in the event.
Brockport's dive team for the women went uncontested to snag 1
st-3
rd place on the 1 and 3-meter boards.
Ashley Oswald won the 1-meter event with a 222.10 score.
Emma Conner scored a 198.70 for second and
Brylee Weisenburg took third with a 197.85. Conner would then get first on the 3-meter board with a final score of 229.60. Oswald placed second with a 207.85 and Weisenburg scored a 198.70 for third.
Back in the main pool, Erik Parkes would go on to snag third place individually in the 100-yard freestyle thanks to a time of 50.80.
Nicole Orcutt would lead the way for Brockport in the women's 100 freestyle, with the squad taking the top three spots again. Orcutt swam a 55.18 to place first.
Skylar King then followed up with a 59.05 for second and
Lauryn Ball's 1:00.00 was good for third.
In the men's 100 backstroke, Conner Berger's time of 1:00.09 earned him third place in the race.
Cassie Barber swam a 1:05.03 in the 100-yard backstroke for the women, placing second. Close behind was teammate
Sage Vadney, clocking in at 1:07.51 for third.
Finishing in 1:02.78, Brockport's Anthony O'Leary took third in the 100 breaststroke. In the women's 100 breaststroke,
Varshana Ramgulam placed second with a 1:13.37.
Sam Whitman took third with a time of 1:16.33.
Alex Nicita came back in the 500-yard freestyle event for second place with a time of 5:03.48.
Hannah Ramos claimed first place in the 500 freestyle race for the women, finishing in 5:44.38.
Addy Martino's 6:01.29 was good for third in the event.
Winning by just 0.05, Joe Keeney swam a 24.41 for first in the 50-yard butterfly.
Maddie Erhardt clocked in with a 27.13 for an event win in the women's 50-yard butterfly. She was just ahead of
Nicole Orcutt, who took second at 27.47.
In the men's 100-yard IM, Anthony O'Leary placed third at 57.97.
Varshana Ramgulam took second in the women's side of the event, clocking in at 1:04.90.
The men finished up with a second-place time of 1:29.39 in the 200-yard freestyle relay. Brockport competed with Joe Keeney, Zander Benz, Garrett Nanna, and Erik Parkes in the relay.
The women's 200-yard freestyle relay saw the Golden Eagles take first with a time of 1:40.85.

The Golden Eagles are back in the home pool on Friday, October 31
st for a 6pm dual meet against Geneseo.
