Staying Steady: The Golden Eagles have embarked on a lengthy unbeaten streak in conference play, posting a 7-0-2 record since September 20th. Across their last nine games, the Brockport defense has allowed just four goals, outscoring opponents 18-4 over that stretch. Goalie
AJ Nelson has been instrumental in the Brockport turnaround, starting all nine games since September 20th. Nelson has recorded five shutouts with 20 saves, allowing less than a half goal a contest (0.44 GAA).
Senior Spotlight: Coming off a strong outing against Utica,
Brady Reinagel has caught fire for Brockport in the second half of the season. Posting a shot on goal or better in five of his last six outings, Reinagel has scored five goals in his last nine games, including four in his last six outings.
Max Voyer has done much of the same, racking up eight points in his last seven games with two goals and an assist across his last four games.Â
Postseason Scenarios: Brockport has clinched a postseason berth and will be either the No. 2 or No. 3 seed. The Golden Eagles would clinch the No. 2 seed with a win against Geneseo on Wednesday or an Elmira loss or tie. Brockport would drop to the No. 3 seed with a loss and Elmira wins or ties, and if Elmira won by 3 or more goals.
Scouting Geneseo: The Knights have clinched the Empire 8 Regular Season championship, holding an undefeated 9-0-1 record in conference play. The head-to-head series has been highly competitive, with Brockport posting a 10-6-7 record against Geneseo since 2002.Â
