Fredonia, NY – The first day of Fredonia's Blue Devil invite finished up Friday night following the finals session for the opening day of competition. The Golden Eagles are currently sitting in 1
st place on the women's side (587 points) and the men hold onto 3
rd place after day one (437.5 points).
In the first finals event of the event session, Brockport placed third in the men's 200-yard freestyle relay.

Erik Parkes swam a time of 1:28.28.
The Golden Eagles placed first in the women's side of the relay with a time of 1:38.33. The winning group consisted of Anna Lowe, Maddie Erhardt, Varshana Ramgulam, and Nicole Orcutt.
Alex Nicita scored well with a fourth-place finish in the men's 500 freestyle finals, clocking in at 4:57.73.
Jace Fredericksen won the B-finals race with his time of 5:02.74.
The women's 500 freestyle relay saw Nicole Orcutt take first place thanks to a time of 5:13.04. Hannah Ramos took fourth in the race with a 5:19.87. In the B-finals, Sarah Colwell won the heat with a time of 5:28.26.
Anthony O'Leary scored with a time of 2:01.09 for fourth place in the men's 200-yard IM. Varshana Ramgulam took second on the women's side of the event with a time of 2:12.23.
In the women's 50 freestyle final, Anna Lowe (24.40) and Maddie Erhardt (25.13) placed second and third respectively.

Carter Lundin took fourth in the men's 400-yard medley relay. The group teamed up for a finishing time of 3:38.23.
Brockport took second and third place in the women's 400-yard medley relay event. Hannah Ramos, Addy Martino, Maddie Erhardt, and Anna Lowe swam a 4:03.85. Lauryn ball, Lindsey Spitz, Varshana Ramgulam, and Skylar King finished in 4:07.50.
The women are in good standing, currently 90 points ahead of the second place team from PSU-Behrend after day one. The men for Brockport trail St. Vincent by 22.5 for second place and are behind PSU-Behrend by 142.5 points for first place.
The Golden Eagles are back in the pool at the Blue Devil Invite tomorrow morning for a 10am start to the first session of day two. The finals on Saturday are set to begin at 5pm.
