th, the wrestling team is set to head to Rochester, NY for a dual against the RIT Tigers starting at 7pm.

Last Time Out – Last weekend, the Golden Eagles kicked off the 2025-26 season at the Messiah Invitational, where they fought hard to clinch third place with 130.5 points.
In the 141 bout,
Jaden Friel had a day, taking third place and scoring 18.5 team points. Friel had a major decision win in the Champ Round 2 and the quarterfinals, and finished out the day with a win by fall 24 seconds into the match in the 3
rd place match.
At 141,
Tanner King earned 17 points from placing fourth following a tech fall win and a major decision win. King then won by fall and a decision in the Cons Round 4 and 5.
At 165,
Kiam Coleman finished fourth on the day, earning 17 points. Coleman won by fall in the Cons Rounds 2-4 and a major decision in round 5. In the Cons Semi-Round, Coleman took the decided win to end the day.
Robert Armstrong showed out at 125, clinching third place and earning 16.5 points. Armstrong won in a sudden victory in the Champ Round 2, and by fall in the quarterfinals. Armstrong then went on to
take the sudden victory win in the Cons Semi and by fall in the 3
rd place match.
In the 157 division,
Tyler Rossini also clinched third place and scored 16 points for Brockport after a decisive win and a tech fall win. Rossini then won by decision in the quarterfinals, and finished out the day winning by no contest in the 3
rd place match.
At 133,
Mahkare Rogers finished third and scored 16 points after a win by tech fall and decision in the Champ Round 1 and 2. Rogers took the win by sudden victory in the quarterfinals and finished with a win by no contest in the 3
rd place match.
In the 125lb division,
Trevor Middendorf took fourth for the day and earned 15 points for the Golden Eagles. Middendorf took the win by tech fall in the Champ Round 2, and won by tech fall in the quarterfinals and the Cons Semi round.
Avery Bustamante earned 13.5 team points, following a decided win, a sudden victory win, and a win by fall and major decision. Bustamante ended the competition with a win by no contest in the 3
rd place match.
Scoring 12.5 points for the Green and Gold was
Mike Welsh, following a win by tech fall, major decision, and a decision in the Cons Rounds 3-5. Welsh finished out the day with a win by medical forfeit in the 5
th place match.
Gavin McLaughlin showed out with a fifth-place finish, earning 11 team points. McLaughlin won by fall in the Champ Round 2 and by decision in the quarterfinals. McLaughlin finished out the match with a win by no contest in the 5
th-place match.
A Look at RIT – The Tigers finished up the 2024-25 season with a 6-6 overall record. The team finished seventh at the NYS Intercollegiate Open, fifth at the SUNYAC Championships, and fourth at the NCAA Region 2 Championships. Brockport looks for a win against RIT as the Tigers took back-to-back dual victories from 2022-2024.
