Brockport, NY – The wrestling team fell to RIT on the road, 21-20, following a series of tough matchups. The Golden Eagles are now 0-1 in dual action in the 2025-26 season.
Starting strong at 125 was
Trevor Middendorf, taking the 20-3 victory over RIT's Jonathan Freebern.
In the 141 bout,
Jaden Friel showed out with a 15-7 win over the Tigers' Amari Payton.
Tyler Rossini had a day in the 157lb division, finishing with a 19-3 win over Zach Gerby.
At 174,
Gavin McLaughlin earned a hard-fought 7-5 victory over RIT's Jack LAmson.
Finishing out the day with a win at 197 was
Simon Lingle, defeating Elon Martin 4-1 in their matchup.
At 133, RIT's Jackson Rush had success against Brockport's
Mahkare Rogers, taking the win.
In the 149 bout, the Tigers' Max Watson earned a success over the Golden Eagles'
Charles Loucks.
At 165, Josh Warland from RIT finished with a win against
Max Morrison.
Nick Smith from RIT finished in the 184lb division with a victory over
Avery Bustamante from Brockport.
At 285, Josh Harkless finished with a win by fall over Brockport's
Mike Welsh.
