Brockport, NY- The Brockport ice hockey team will host Geneseo for the Face Off Against Cancer Game on Friday, February 7^th, at 7 p.m. The Golden Eagles will head to Geneseo on Saturday, February 8^th, at 7 p.m.
 
Last Outing: The Golden Eagles dropped a hard-fought battle with #2 Utica, 2-1, on Saturday, February 1^st. After the loss, Brockport fell to 4-13-2 and 2-12 in UCHC play.
 
Aidan Taylor would score the game's opening goal, assisted by Connor McAleerr and Matt Anastasio.
 
Cole Hudson was excellent in the loss, making 49 saves with just two goals allowed.
 
GOTW: Cole Hudson swept this week's UCHC and E8 awards following two impressive performances against #2 Utica. Entering Friday's home game against Utica for Dax Easter, Hudson made 36 saves with just one goal allowed across 37:03 of game action. Hudson has emerged as a top goalie for Brockport, leading the squad in saves (370), SV% (.911), and wins. Across his last five outings, Hudson has saved over 94% of the shots he's faced, allowing just 12 goals.
 
Heating Up: With goals in two of his last three games, Chase Maxwell has started to get going for Brockport. Lighting the lamp against Utica and Manhattanville, Maxwell has scored three goals with six assists on the season.
 
Scouting Geneseo: The Knight currently sits at 16-2-1, posting an impressive 12-1-1 record in UCHC play. The Golden Eagles have not scored a win over Geneseo since the 2015 season, when both teams were members of the SUNYAC conference.
