Brockport, NY – The wrestling team finished up day two of Regionals today at Lycoming College where they saw strong performances from five of the Golden Eagles that saw success from day one.
In the 141lb weight class,
Jaden Friel finished up the two-day competition in eighth place after a fall against Gabe Goss of Oswego.
Vandavian Way fought for the seventh-place spot at 165 in a tough 4-3 decision over Benjamin Rivera of Alfred.
At 174,
Gavin McLaughlin took eighth place in his matchups after Tyler Balent of RIT took the 4-1 decided victory.
Simon Lingle pulled off a seventh-place spot in the 197lb division from a forfeited win over Nolan Fenton from Penn State Behrend.
Nick Franco dominated in his matchups, taking the third-place spot at 285 after a huge 8-2 decision over Robbie West of Lycoming. Franco's third place mark qualifies him for the NCAA Division III Championships for the second year in a row.
