BROCKPORT, N.Y- The SUNY Brockport Men's Soccer team will open the 2025 season on Friday, August 24, at 7 pm, hosting crosstown rival RIT in home opener action.
2024 Recap: The 2024 season marked Brockport's first as a member of the Empire 8, posting a 7-6-5 overall record with a 5-3-3 mark in E8 contests. Beginning the season with a 1-4-1 record through six games, the Golden Eagles would rally to finish the season with a 6-2-4 record across the final 12 games. Brockport would secure a spot in the Empire 8 Conference Tournament, downing No.4 seed SUNY Poly in the quarterfinals 3-0 on the road. The squad's season would come to an end at No.1 seed St. John Fisher in the E8 Semifinals, falling 4-1 in the shootout (T, 0-0) following a back-and-forth contest. All-Region Returner: Despite losing a fellow All-Region recipient in
Russ Domm, Brockport returns forward
Max Voyer, who is coming off a breakout junior season. Starting 17 games for the Golden Eagles, Voyer finished tied with Domm for the team lead in goals (5) and points (11). Across 50 games played, Voyer has posted career totals of 10 goals and five assists for 25 points, scoring four game-winning goals.
Key Returners: Despite losing key players from the 2024 season, the Golden Eagles return experienced players on both sides of the ball entering the 2025 season. Brockport returns 2024 minutes leader
Khadim Amar, a critical piece of Brockport's backline and an All-Conference recipient in his freshman season.
Brady Reinagel returns for his senior season following an impressive junior season, finishing second in goals (4), points (10), and leading the squad in assists (2). Alex Rivera and
Trevor Lagarde reunite to form an experienced midfield/defensive unit, combining for 30 starts in 2024.

Scouting RIT: The Tigers are coming off a 7-10-1 2024 campaign, going 4-4-1 in Liberty League play. Brockport and RIT clashed to open the 2024 season, with Brockport picking up a 1-0 win in Rochester to start the season. Since 2011, the Golden Eagles have posted a 4-3-2 record in the head-to-head series.
