BROCKPORT, N.Y- The Brockport Men's Soccer team was defeated 6-2 at Buffalo State on Wednesday, September 10
th. The Golden Eagles dropped to 1-2-1 on the season following the loss.
The Bengals took control from the get-go, scoring two goals on their first four shots. Buffalo State would net the first four goals of the contest, entering halftime up 4-0.Â
The Golden Eagles produced several scoring chances, with
Max Voyer,
Peter Tinaj, and
Khadim Amar recording a shot on goal in the half.
Buffalo State goalie Carson Smith was excellent throughout, denying
Josh Bird's PK with 14 seconds left in the half.Â
Following Diego Rivera's third goal of the contest,
Peter Tinaj would put the Green and Gold on the scoreboard in the 57
th minute.
Each team would find the back of the net to close the contest. Diego Rivera's fourth goal of the game would put the Bengals ahead 6-1 before
Troy Gallagher would score his first goal as a Golden Eagle to close out the game's scoring.Â
Khadim Amar would record his first point as a Golden Eagle on the Gallagher goal.
The Golden Eagles would finish with 13 shots (9 SOG), compared to Buffalo State's 18.
