Box Score BROCKPORT, N.Y- The Brockport Men's Soccer team earned a 1-1 draw on homecoming weekend against Hartwick on Saturday, September 27th. The Golden Eagles moved to 2-4-2 overall on the season and 1-1-1 in conference play. 

The Hawks wasted no time taking the lead, with Mariano Kool opening the game's scoring just 4:50 into the opening half. Despite a 12-4 edge in the shots department, four stops from Hartwick goalie Jelani Usim would send the Hawks into halftime up 1-0.

Jelani Usim would carry Hartwick throughout the afternoon, making a game-high 11 saves on a variety of Brockport scoring chances.

With Hartwick playing keep away for the majority of the second half, the Green and Gold would generate eight scoring chances.

Across the first 40 minutes of the second half, the Golden Eagles created repeated scoring chances. Peter Tinaj, Max Voyer, and Trevor Lagarde all had excellent looks, but would be unable to break the tie. 

With less than five minutes remaining, the Brockport offense would finally break through. Alex Rivara would provide a picture-perfect pass to Khadim Amar to give Brockport the 1-1 draw. Amar has posted a point or better in three straight games.   

Aj Nelson picked up the start between the pipes for Brockport, making two saves and overcoming the early allowed goal. 

Max Voyer led all players with four shots on goal, outshooting all Hartwick players combined.
