BROCKPORT, N.Y- The Brockport men's soccer team came up short in senior day action against Clarkson University, 3-0, on Saturday, September 6th. The Golden Eagles fell to 1-1-1 on the season following the loss.
Before the start of the contest, the Golden Eagles recognized seniors
Jayden Green,
Peter Tinaj,
Josh Bird,
Brady Reinagel,
Max Voyer, and
Alex Rivara for their contributions to the Brockport Men's Soccer Program.
Despite winning the shots battle 4-3 in the opening half, the Golden Knights would find the lone goal of the half. Morgan Burke's goal in the 36th minute would send Clarkson into halftime up 1-0.
Clarkson would make the most of its opportunities, scoring on two of their five second-half shots on goal. Brody Frankowski and Zach Shufelt would find the back of the net for the Golden Knights.
The Golden Eagles would find scoring chances throughout, with
Max Voyer leading the squad with two shots on goal. Despite four second-half shots on net, the Golden Eagles would be unable to break through.
Trevor Lagarde,
Khadim Amar, and
Parker Warren all grinded out iron-man performances, playing all 90 minutes of the contest.Â
