BROCKPORT, NY - The Brockport Wrestling team will host SUNY Cortland for Senior Day on Tuesday, February 17th at 7 PM.
National Standout:
Tyler Rossini has been recognized as one of the top wrestlers in the country at 157 lbs in the latest NWCA D3 Men's Rankings. One of the seniors being honored before Tuesday's dual, he slotted in at 11th nationally in his weight class and second in Region Two. With a 21-4 record on the season, he helped lead Brockport to a first-place finish at SUNYAC Championships with a first-place individual finish.
Matchups to Watch: Tuesday's dual will feature multiple probable matchups between regionally ranked wrestlers. Standout freshman
Trevor Middendorf (#2-125 lbs) will likely take on #4-ranked senior Christian Lievano of Cortland, with Rossini likely taking on freshman Colton Havens for the Red Dragons. Seniors
Kiam Coleman (#5-175 lb) and Joey Visciano (#6) for Cortland will likely face off, with fellow senior
Simon Lingle (6th) and Ethan Gallo (4th) probable at 197 lbs.
Freshman Standouts: In the midst of excellent seasons, freshmen
Trevor Middendorf (125 lb) and
Mike Welsh (284) have dominated the mats for Brockport. Both wrestlers rank within the top-50 nationally according to WrestleStat, with Middendorf (85.7%) and Welsh (73.9%) winning over 73% of their matches.

Scouting Cortland: The Red Dragons hold a 4-5 record, finishing a close second to the Golden Eagles at the SUYNAC Championship. Cortland is coming off a 33-15 dual loss to #23-ranked Ithaca last Wednesday.
