Brockport, NY – The men's and women's indoor track and field teams are back home this weekend as they host the Brockport Friday Night Invite on Friday, February 20
th, at 4 pm in The SERC.

A Look Back at Boston and Nazareth –
Men's Team Recap –
At Nazareth - After a strong race at Boston, Jeremy Chen was back for more, taking third place in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.53.
In the mile, Howie Vargas finished with an AARTFC qualifying time of 4:21.97 and came in fourth place.
Cole Ferris ran strong in the 200m invite, taking silver with a quick mark of 22.99 seconds.
In the men's shotput, Mitchell Ellsworth and Hunter Richards took third and fourth, with Ellsworth throwing for 14.67m, and Richards throwing for 14.30m.
Judson Delany jumped for 13.32m in the triple jump to finish in second place.
Finishing out the day on top for the Green and Gold was Cardin Chau, taking first place, clearing the pole at 1.98m.
At Boston - Derek Grimshaw set the tone for the meet, earning a spot in the finals of the 60m dash where he placed fifth with a quick time of 6.92 seconds.
With a time of 8.28 in the prelims for the 60m hurdles, Jeremy Chen set a new school record for the event.
In the 400m dash, Ayden Grinion ran strong for an eighth-place finish with a time of 48.53, good for a second all time best in Brockport. Michael Durski took 21
st at 49.16, also good for third all-time in Brockport.
Owen Arbocus had a day in the 800m, taking 74
th and crossing the line in 1:54.65 to secure fifth all-time.
Derek Grimshaw also showed out in the 200m dash with a 30
th place finish and fifth all time mark of 22.21 seconds.
In the mile, Aidan Mayer ran the eighth fastest time in school history with a time of 4:19.0.
Brockport's 4x400 team of Brian Cappellini, Owen Arbocus, Frank Calhoun, and Timothy Smith ran for a quick time of 3:25.21 good for eighth all-time and 21
st overall.
Women's Team Recap –
At Nazareth -
Meghan Muscarella earned herself a fourth place finish in the 60m sprint from a quick time of 8.22 seconds.
Courtney Bostic,
Ariana Proper, and
Monica Cammarota took fourth, fifth, and sixth in the 400m invite with Bostic running a 1:01.87, Proper a 1:02.03, and Cammarota a 1:03.00.
Vanessa Ramos had a day in the 800m, taking fourth with a time of 2:24.41.
Lily Pink followed shortly behind in eighth with a time of 2:26.19.
Courtney Bostic also finished strong in the 200m invite, with a second-place finish and time of 26.82 seconds.
Meghan Muscarella also ran for a quick time of 27.26 to earn fifth place.
Trinity Dees showed out in the shot put, throwing for 12.50m to take first place in the meet.
Brockport finished strong in the women's triple jump with Abby Zeh clinching third with a 10.44m mark, and
Sasha Schramm taking fourth with a 10.32m jump.
At Boston -
Ethne Degan broke a Brockport record in the mile, posting a record-shattering time of 5:01.86, taking 142
nd overall.
Lexi Rodriguez started day 2 of the meet strong with a time of 1:00.60 in the 400m race to secure a 93rd-place finish.
In the 800m,
Peyton Long ran for 2:20.17 to make eighth all-time in program history for Brockport and 126
th in the meet.
Lexi Rodriguez crossed the finish line in 26.81 seconds in the 200m, good for 77
th place.
Empire 8 Championships – The Golden Eagles will compete at Empire 8 Championships on Friday, February 27
th, at 3 pm, and Saturday, February 28
th, at 10 am at the Golisano Training Center in Rochester, NY.
