Brockport, NY – The Brockport flag football team (6-2, 5-1 E8) extended its winning streak to four games with a 38-12 victory over Elmira (3-4, 1-4 E8) on Tuesday, April 14. The Golden Eagles' offense remained red hot, surpassing 30 points for the fourth consecutive game while improving to 3-1 at Bob Boozer Field.
Madison Beardsley delivered an outstanding performance at quarterback, completing 13 passes for 218 yards and five touchdowns while also leading Brockport in rushing. The freshman added 15 carries for 94 yards, accounting for more than 300 total yards of offense on the day.
Trelani Harper (67 yards, 2 TD) and Addy VanDewater (53 yards, 3 TD) served as Beardsley's primary targets, each recording over 50 receiving yards and multiple touchdown receptions. VanDewater now has 10 touchdown catches in six conference games this season.
Defensively, Ariana Kennedy led the team with 10 flag pulls, while Lauren Cundra (2 TFL) and Ava Leyh recorded seven apiece. Ava Seelbach made a significant impact, totaling two interceptions, four flag pulls, and two tackles for loss.
Analysia Sosa continued her strong defensive play with six tackles, including two for loss.
The first half featured a back-and-forth battle, as both teams found the end zone in the opening quarter, resulting in a 6-6 tie heading into the second. Brockport seized control in the second quarter, scoring three touchdowns to take a 25-12 lead into halftime.
Both defenses dominated the third quarter, holding each side scoreless and sending Brockport into the fourth with a 13-point advantage. The Golden Eagles completed the second-half shutout, with Harper and VanDewater each adding touchdowns to secure the 38-12 victory.
Megan Gerber contributed on the ground with five carries for 38 yards (7.6 avg) and a rushing touchdown. She also added a tackle for loss on defense.
