BROCKPORT, NY – The Brockport men's and women's cross country teams returned to competition on Saturday, September 19th, competing at the Yellowjacket Invitational at Genesee Valley Park. The Golden Eagles' women's team placed 11th with 308 points out of 16 teams, while the men's team finished 13th with 390 points.

Women's 6K

In the women's 6K, Salma Moumen led the way for Brockport, finishing 48th overall in 8:04.8. Natalie Heselton followed in 52nd place in 8:10.5, while Lindsey Male finished 59th in 8:11.9.

Sabine Yannone was Brockport's fourth finisher, placing 72nd in 8:17.2. Abigail Polus rounded out the scoring five, finishing 77th with a time of 8:20.6.

The Golden Eagles' next two finishers were Alexa Ruppe, who placed 85th in 8:27.6, and Michala Faulkner, who finished 87th in 8:32.6.

Stephanie Onderdonk finished 141st in 8:33.8, followed by Allyson Deperno in 143rd at 8:35.0 and Rachael Gray in 144th at 8:36.2. Jenna Malagese rounded out Brockport's top 10, finishing 186th in 9:16.4.

Men's 8K

In the men's 8K, Ethan Stauffer paced the Golden Eagles, finishing 66th overall with a time of 27:36.3. Joseph Massett was Brockport's second finisher, placing 73rd in 27:57.2.

Tyler Grossman crossed the line in 79th place with a time of 28:23.1, while Cody Harloff followed in 85th at 28:36.9. Alex Deal completed Brockport's scoring five, finishing 87th in 28:40.8.

Nahuel Gutierrez placed 89th in 28:46.0, followed by Oliver Fernaays in 90th at 28:46.8. Alejandro Roberts finished 91st in 28:50.2, while Avery Heretz crossed the line in 92nd at 29:01.9. Nicholas Koch rounded out Brockport's top 10, placing 93rd in 29:05.7.

Up Next: Cross Country will return to action for the Harry F. Anderson Invitational hosted by Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday, September 26th. The men's race is set to start at 10 am, with the women's race following at 11 am.
