Nelson is a native of Dunkirk, New York and a graduate of Dunkirk High School. He is the son of Lissette Colon and has one sibling, Miguel. In high school he was the 2018 and 2019 Track team captain and the Indoor Track MVP in 2018 and 2019. He is pursuing a degree in Health Science.
